Corrections Policy

Last updated: January 5, 2026

At Bintan Voyage (a travel division of PT. Baroka Tour & Travel), we aim to maintain high standards of accuracy and reliability across our website content, policies, and travel guidance. Because travel information can change and mistakes may happen, this policy explains how we identify, correct, update, and communicate corrections—so travelers can trust the information we publish.

1) Purpose

This policy exists to:

  • ensure transparency in how we handle errors and updates
  • correct inaccurate or outdated information promptly
  • protect travelers from relying on incorrect details for planning or booking
  • maintain trust by clearly documenting significant changes when appropriate

2) What We Correct or Update

We correct and update information across our website, blog, marketing materials, and public communications when necessary. Common categories include:

2.1 Factual Errors (High Priority)

These are incorrect statements that may affect decisions, safety, or booking expectations, such as:

  • package prices or deposit requirements
  • inclusions/exclusions (what is included vs not included)
  • pickup points, terminals, meeting instructions, or timelines
  • activity descriptions, availability, or key restrictions
  • contact details or policy requirements

2.2 Outdated Information (Updates)

Some information can become outdated due to external changes. Examples include:

  • ferry operator schedules or port/terminal procedures
  • seasonal conditions or temporary closures
  • supplier changes (resort availability, activity operating hours)

2.3 Minor Errors (Low Priority)

Typos or formatting issues that do not change the meaning or accuracy of the content.

3) How Errors Are Reported

Errors may be identified through:

  • customer feedback and questions
  • internal reviews
  • partner notifications (transport, activity operators, resort coordination)
  • public reviews or messages that highlight discrepancies

If you spot an error, please report it via:
WhatsApp: +62 812-6182-0197
Email: office@bintanvoyage.com

4) Correction Process (What We Do)

Step 1 — Assess the Impact

We assess whether the issue is:

  • High-impact (may affect booking decisions, timing, or expectations)
  • Medium-impact (could confuse planning but not critical)
  • Low-impact (minor typo/format)

Step 2 — Verify

We verify details using booking records, operational notes, partner confirmation, and reliable sources where relevant.

Step 3 — Correct or Update

  • Corrections: we fix inaccurate content as soon as it is verified.
  • Updates: we revise content when circumstances change (e.g., external schedule changes).
  • Retractions: if content is materially misleading or cannot be corrected responsibly (e.g., incorrect partnership claims), we remove or rewrite it clearly.

5) How We Communicate Corrections

5.1 On-Page Update Notes (When Significant)

For significant changes—especially those involving pricing, policy terms, key itinerary information, or booking instructions—we may add an update note such as:

  • “Updated: January 2026 — corrected deposit/payment details.”

5.2 Direct Notice for Booking-Impacting Errors

If an error materially affects an existing booking (e.g., incorrect date/time, meeting point, or inclusions), we will contact affected customers directly via the contact details provided at booking.

5.3 Broader Public Notice (When Necessary)

If the error may affect many travelers (e.g., widely shared misinformation), we may post a clarification through appropriate channels (website update and/or social posts), depending on the situation.

6) External Information Disclaimer (Travel Reality)

Some travel details depend on third parties and authorities (e.g., ferry operators, ports, resorts, and local regulations). These may change without notice. We aim to keep guidance updated, but we encourage travelers to confirm critical items—especially immigration requirements—through official sources.

7) Continuous Improvement

We treat corrections as part of quality improvement. Verified issues may lead to:

  • clearer FAQ entries and booking instructions
  • updated templates for confirmations and pickup guidance
  • improved coordination procedures with partners
